I believe as individuals – and organizations – we all become more by giving more.
Our expressions of gratitude and service within our communities make positive impacts that sometimes aren’t measurable. But acts of giving do make real differences in the lives of others – and in our own lives.
As we close in on 2017, it’s a fitting time to reflect on giving back to our communities. We at Bradley salute all the individuals, organizations and companies throughout our industry who have spent time helping and giving to others in need.
In that spirit, I’d like to recognize and salute Bradley Corp employees who have donated their time, money and efforts to give back to others. Here are some of the ways they’ve supported our local community:
For the past two years in May, Bradley employees volunteered their time to Habit for Humanity’s Women Build Week to help construct houses for those in need. From constructing frames for walls to installing dry wall to organizing building materials, Bradley’s women-led teams helped make affordable housing available to lower-income families.
Our United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County campaign, which raised over $37,000 this year, garnered a lot of involvement from our employees. It’s amazing how donations, raffles, bake sales and Packer pin sales can build community awareness, involvement and financial support.
Teams of employees also participated in community walks, which raised money for the American Heart Association Walk and the Out of the Darkness Walk for suicide prevention – two extremely important causes in our society.
And most recently, Bradley employees coordinated a merchandise sale raising $1,500 for the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee’s Holiday Giving Tree program, which provides gifts for thousands of local children.
From our family company to yours, we wish you the happiest of Holidays and a safe and prosperous 2018.
